I use this for inspecting firestopping of penetrations in fire barriers so I need to see good detail in hard to reach ceiling spaces.I bought the Ferret Stick to get to high places. This unit either has too much light and everything is white or too little and it can’t focus.I need to be able to read labels next to the penetration and this unit can do it, but just. The Help feature states there is a slide for light brightness but the firmware downloaded gives only 3 settings, Off, Standard and High.Up until now I have used a selfie stick with Bluetooth to get up close to installations and this gives me excellent definition, but it can’t get into small spaces.I was hoping the Ferret would be my answer.I’m thinking of returning it.

Very light weight inspection camera. VERY versatile and has many applications. Wire fishing, looking behind, under and over things without moving them, along eaves in the attic where its hard to squeeze into and check for water intrusions, attached to a long painters pole (need adapter for threads) to look at a steep roof up close or into the gutters. Device connects up to an app you can download to your phone or tablet. Takes still pictures ;as well as, videos and saves them on the app. Camera has a light with controls on phone thru app to adjust amount of light and or turn on/off. Comes with several thread adapters for small (electricians fishing poles) and a goose neck adjustable extension. The case of the camera is plastic and appears small and cheap but puts out incredibly clear pictures and video. Not water proof unfortunately. A must have for any professional home inspector……but great for other uses as well. Happy with the purchase.
