Shed Light in the Dark with the Bat, Owl Eye, or Fire Fly

While you can expect to conduct most of your daily work during daylight hours, not all jobsites have natural light or electrical hookups right away. Many contractors turn to gas or diesel-powered generators for light in dark spaces, but independent tradespeople don’t have such deep pockets.

If you’re running pipes, conduit, or electrical wiring at a new jobsite and need some light, Rack-A-Tiers has options to brighten your day. From the power of the Bat Flashlight to the compact size and portability of the Owl Eye and Fire Fly, we’ve got what you need to light up the dark corners on your next jobsite.

Send Your Own Bat Signal

The Bat Flashlight is our largest flashlight. It puts out the most light and has arguably the most durable design. Bat Flashlights feature 3W Cree LED bulbs that will last you longer on the jobsite, saving you money over time on replacements. Those Cree LEDs put out 300 Lumens of light, outstripping the Owl Eye and Fire Fly for brightness.

Most impressive, the Bat Flashlight has an anodized aluminum frame that is durable, with scratch and corrosion resistance. What is anodized aluminum? Anodizing is an electrochemical process that strengthens metallic surfaces by integrating (in this case) aluminum oxide into the underlying aluminum substrate. The result is a product that doesn’t chip or peel, and resists corrosion over time.

If nothing else, the Bat Flashlight is a great tool to have on you when you work on a jobsite in a sketchy part of town. You’ll note the handy shape, resembling a bat or club, would make the perfect backup if you find yourself in a shady part of town. It doesn’t hurt to have dual functions after all!

Spot Anything with Your Owl Eye

If you’re looking for a more compact option in your toolbox, the Owl Eye might be just what you need. The Owl Eye is a multi-function flashlight that has three different lighting modes to help you out in various situations. This flashlight has an aluminum shell for lightweight durability, and a run time of 2.5 hours maximum.

Each Owl Eye light comes with 3W LED bulbs and a maximum output of 100 Lumens, making it our softest light source available. The Owl Eye is unique from other Rack-A-Tiers offerings in that it has the ability to dim and provide a strobe function when needed. To switch between lighting modes, you softly press the switch once to turn it on and engage high output mode. Push and hold the switch to start dimming the light, releasing the button when you reach your desired brightness.

From any position you can push the switch two quick times and turn on the strobe function. Like the Bat Flashlight, the Owl Eye might prove useful on and off the jobsite. If your car breaks down at night on the drive home, flip on the strobe mode to alert other drivers or flag down your ride. Another useful tool to have around!

Light Up the Dark with the Fire Fly

Should the Owl Eye not quite suit your fancy, Rack-A-Tiers also offers the Fire Fly. Another compact option with an aluminum frame, the Fire Fly also boasts three light output settings and a maximum run time of 2.5 hours. The Fire Fly does shed more light than the Owl Eye, offering 120 Lumens courtesy of a 5W LED bulb. The light source on this flashlight includes a high output option, dimmed brightness, or strobe function.

If there’s one thing no one can stand, it’s having to run out for batteries to power a new product. Remember all those disappointing Christmas and holiday mornings when new toys were unwrapped with no included batteries? The stores were closed and you weren’t happy. Well, Rack-A-Tiers sells all three flashlights mentioned in this post with 3 AAA batteries included, so you can enjoy light on the job site right off the bat (pardon the pun).
